A Wanyudo is a burning ox-cart wheel bearing the tormented face of a cruel official or punished soul. It rolls along roads after dark, taking the souls of anyone who watches from a doorway or window. Fire streams behind it without consuming the road. The creature embodies punishment continuing after justice has become spectacle and appetite.
