Utahraptor
About
The largest of the sickle-clawed raptors, the size of a bear and twice as fast, that hunts alone or leads lesser raptors as their apex. A single kick from its hind claw can gut a horse. It claims a wide range across open scrub and broken hills, often shadowed by smaller raptors that feed on its leavings, and it is bold to the point of arrogance - it has been known to stalk armed parties just to weigh whether they are worth the trouble.

Killing Claw: slashing, melee 5 ft, +2 to hit, 2d6+4 slashing. Bite: piercing, melee 5 ft, 1d8+4 piercing. Leaping Pounce: after a charge it pins a Large or smaller target prone and rakes for an extra 2d6 on a failed Dex Quick save, cooldown 2 rounds.

Apex Raptor: lesser raptors fight at its side and it has +2 to hit prone or flanked prey. Pursuit: runs down fleeing quarry. Senses: Twilight Sight, Keen Smell.
