Python is the immense serpent of Delphi, guardian of an ancient prophetic place before a new divine order claimed it. Its coils hold the memory of the earth's first answers, and its breath carries the rot of deep caverns. Calling Python merely a beast erases the conflict over who owns prophecy, whose oracle speaks, and what happens when one sacred authority kills another.
