Hesperid
About
She tends one tree at the far western edge of the world and she has never been anywhere else. The apples on it are gold and are not for anyone. She is not hostile, she is not proud of the job, and she will explain the position clearly and at length to anybody who arrives with a sack. She is also not alone: the tree is coiled about by something that does not sleep, and she has never had to raise her voice.

Special Attack
Bough and Root: bludgeoning, melee 10 ft, +4 to hit, 2d6+3, delivered by the tree rather than by her - the branches come down and the roots come up. Golden Glare: 20 ft, save Wis Mind, fail save roll 2d6+2 psychic and the target cannot bring itself to touch the fruit for the rest of the encounter, cooldown 2 rounds.
Special Defense
Of the Tree: the tree is a separate target with 50 HP, AC 15 and DR 2, and it takes double damage from fire. While it stands, all damage aimed at her is taken by the tree instead and she cannot be harmed at all. Second Stage: bring the tree to 0 HP and she becomes a target in her own right, with the 72 HP, AC 15 and DR 1 on this stat block, and she fights properly for the first time. She has nothing left to guard and no reason to hold back, and parties that got this far by cutting have generally not planned for it. She Warns: she states the terms before anything begins, and any creature that leaves without fruit is never pursued. Everything that has gone wrong here has gone wrong after that conversation.
