Cave Folk
About
Cave folk build communities where surface roads end: limestone chambers, lava tubes, cliff hollows and old mines reclaimed from collapse. They mark safe passages, cultivate fungi, trap water and know which echoes mean strangers. The statistics here represent an adult defending home ground, not an assumption that every cave community is hostile.

Traits
Special Attack
Fire-Hardened Spear: piercing, melee 10 ft or thrown 30 ft, +2 to hit, 1d6+1. In a passage no wider than 10 ft, the target also makes a Quick save; on a failed save, it must stop moving as the spear blocks the narrow approach.
Special Defense
Home Tunnels: within familiar caves, cave folk gain +2 Quick and cannot become lost by ordinary means. Brightly marking a traveled route, negotiating at a boundary sign or forcing the encounter into an unfamiliar chamber removes this bonus.
