Manananggal
About
At dusk she separates at the waist. The top half sprouts wings and goes hunting with the entrails trailing behind it; the bottom half stands where it was left, in the barn or the treeline or under the house, waiting to be rejoined before dawn. She takes from the sleeping and from the pregnant. The counter is old, cheap and absolutely reliable, and it is not the flying half you go after.

Traits
Special Attack
Proboscis: piercing, melee 5 ft, +4 to hit, 2d6+3, used on the sleeping and the helpless in preference to anything awake. Trailing Entrails: bludgeoning, melee 15 ft, +4 to hit, 2d6+3, its second attack, and it has considerably more reach than it appears to.
Special Defense
Two Halves: the lower half is standing somewhere within a mile, motionless, undefended and findable. Salt, ash or crushed garlic on the exposed waist prevents rejoining, and a manananggal that has not rejoined by sunrise dies, no save, wherever it is. Hunting the Wrong Half: attacking the flying half works normally and is much harder work. Reduced to 0 HP it flees to rejoin and is back tomorrow night.
