Loch Ness Monster
About
The Loch Ness Monster is a long-necked creature of deep cold water, seen as humps, a wake without a boat, or a head rising beyond the range of certainty. It avoids sustained observation and rarely attacks unless boats threaten a nesting place or weighted sounding lines, magic, and nets leave no route downward. Most encounters begin with evidence and doubt; violence comes only after sustained intrusion.

Traits
Special Attack
Deep-Water Roll: every creature aboard one vessel within 20 ft makes a Quick save. A failure deals 2d8 bludgeoning damage and knocks the creature into the water.
Special Defense
Gone Beneath the Thermocline: in deep water the creature may disappear for 2 rounds instead of attacking. Calm observation without pursuit allows a Wisdom Chance Roll to end the encounter peacefully.
