Llorona
About
She is looking for children in the river, and she has been looking for a very long time, and they were hers. The weeping carries a long way over water and is the most upsetting sound in the region by a wide margin. She takes children she finds near the bank. She takes adults who get in the way of that, without malice and without stopping. What she wants is not obtainable and everybody involved understands this except her.

Special Defense
Of the Water's Edge: she cannot go more than a stone's throw from river, canal or lake, and a party that withdraws inland is not followed. Carries a Child: any creature visibly carrying or shielding a child is not attacked, at all, under any circumstances - she moves around them and continues searching. Ends at the Finding: laying her actual children to rest ends her permanently. The DN should know where they are.
