Kurobozu
About
A figure in black monk's robes standing at the foot of the bed, which is bad, and then leaning over the sleeper's face, which is worse. It takes the breath out of a mouth in a long slow draw and leaves behind a taste that survivors describe the same way every time and cannot ever quite name. It does this in occupied houses, with the family asleep in the next room, and nobody wakes.

Special Attack
Draw the Breath: melee 5 ft, usable only against a sleeping, paralysed or otherwise helpless creature. No attack roll. Save Con Tough, fail save roll 1d6+2 and the target wakes Weary. Long Robe: bludgeoning, melee 5 ft, +2 to hit, 1d4+1, used only if cornered, and it would much rather leave.
Special Defense
Household Silence: while it is in a dwelling, sleeping creatures do not wake to any sound it makes, or to the sounds of anyone fighting it. Waking the house requires deliberate effort - shaking someone, dousing them - and the DN should let the players work that out. Gone by the Door: reduced below half HP, it walks out through the nearest doorway and is not in the corridor beyond.
