Monster Trove: Things Others Swore They Saw

Kokogiak

Huge

About

A polar bear with ten legs, and the extra ones are not decorative - it does not sink into snow that swallows a man to the hip, and it does not slow down on ice that has everyone else crawling. It has been behind the party for a day and a half. It is not stalking in any clever sense. It has simply decided, and it does not get tired, and the country it has chosen to do this in is flat and white in every direction.

Special Attack

Bear Down: bludgeoning, melee 10 ft, +5 to hit, 3d6+3 (two paws), and it does not stop to reposition. Break the Ice: 20 ft, save Dex Quick, fail save roll 3d6+3 bludgeoning as it comes down with all its weight and the floe goes, cooldown 3 rounds. Creatures that fail are in the water.

Special Defense

Ten Legs: it cannot be tripped, knocked down or slowed by snow, ice, slush or broken ground, and creatures fighting it on ice do so at Disadvantage. Does Not Stop: it never withdraws, never loses a trail, and follows for days. Outrunning it is not a plan. Reaching somewhere it will not follow is, and there are very few such places on the ice.
