Kodama
About
A tree that holds a kodama looks like every other tree, and the woodcutters of the district know precisely which one it is anyway, because their grandfathers told them and nobody has ever needed to test it. Fell it and the spirit does not roar or manifest. The axe turns. The wedge slips. The trunk comes down the wrong way. Accidents accumulate around whoever swung first, patiently, for as long as it takes.

Special Attack
The Turning Axe: 30 ft, save Dex Quick, fail save roll 1d6+1 slashing as a tool, branch or falling limb goes wrong, cooldown 2 rounds. It targets whoever struck its tree most recently, in preference to any other creature, always.
Special Defense
Not Really There: it has no body to strike. Attacks against it hit the tree, and damage dealt to the tree is dealt to the kodama and no other way. Leave the Grove: any creature that leaves the wood and does not return is not pursued. It has no interest beyond its own trees and has been waiting a very long time in them.
