Compsognathus Swarm
About
A boiling swarm of chicken-sized predators that strips a carcass - or a careless traveller - to bone in minutes. Individually harmless, in numbers they are a thousand tiny bites that never stop coming. They flock through fern-thick lowlands and old battlefields, drawn to blood and rot, and they have learned that a sleeping or wounded creature is just a slow meal that hasn't noticed yet.
