About
A Basajaun is a shaggy giant of the Basque forests and high valleys, taller than a person and covered in hair except around watchful eyes. It warns shepherds of storms, teaches useful crafts, and drives predators away from flocks. Trespass becomes dangerous when hunters waste animals, steal guarded grain, or mistake an unwilling teacher for a beast to be captured.
