A Baku is a dream-eating creature assembled from the familiar parts of several animals: an elephant's trunk, a bear's body, a tiger's paws, and watchful eyes. Sleepers call it to consume nightmares, but calling too often may teach it to eat pleasant dreams, memories, and ambitions as well. It approaches gently and becomes dangerous only after hunger replaces discernment.
