Am Fear Liath Mòr
About
High on Ben Macdui, footsteps begin behind a traveler and keep the same impossible distance no matter the pace. Mist enlarges a grey shape until it appears taller than the mountain cairns, though no witness agrees whether anything solid was there. The Grey Man attacks certainty while leaving the flesh untouched: paths feel wrong, companions sound distant and descending seems more dangerous than climbing. Those who stop, take bearings and refuse to run often reach the lower slopes with nothing behind them at all.

Special Attack
Footsteps in the Mist: creatures within 60 ft make a Mind save; those that fail are frightened for 1d4 rounds and hear pursuit directly behind them. Grey Reach: psychic, melee 10 ft, +5 to hit, 2d8+3, and the target becomes weary.
Special Defense
Measured Descent: a creature that spends its turn checking compass, cairn, rope or companion gains +2 to its next Mind save against the Grey Man. Wind that clears the mist removes its DR and reveals that Grey Reach has only 5 ft range. It never follows anyone below the mountain's highest vegetation.
