Effect

You open a channel of raw arcane energy within the target, magnifying the potency of their next damaging spell. The first damaging spell they cast during the duration, maximizes all damage dice before applying any reductions, resistances, or DR where applicable if they fail save roll (if save roll is applicable).

Scaling

At 6th level, Magic Backlash (target save roll of a Natural 20) does not apply.

Special Notes

Only one Arcane Conduit can be active on a creature at a time. Applies only to the spell's immediate damage, not ongoing damage. The Dungeon Narrator decides how this interacts with unique or ongoing spells (e.g. damage over time). The empowered spell leaves a visible aura of crackling power around the caster until discharged.
