Monster Trove: Old Fears and Hungry Things

Typhon

Gargantuan

About

Typhon is the storming enemy of divine order, a giant whose body combines wings, serpents, fire, and a reach that challenges the sky. Mountains become weapons around him and winds answer before he speaks. Typhon's presence makes stable geography and divine authority feel temporary, as mountains become ammunition and roads vanish beneath storm. Binding him beneath a mountain may be more achievable than destroying him.

Special Attack

Mountain-Hurl: choose a point within 120 ft. Creatures in a 30 ft radius make a Quick save or take 6d10 bludgeoning damage and fall down; success halves the damage and prevents falling down. Serpent Gale: up to three different creatures within 80 ft make Tough saves. Each failure deals 3d10 lightning damage and moves the creature 20 ft in a direction chosen by Typhon. A successful save avoids the damage and movement.

Special Defense

Buried, Not Slain: at 0 HP Typhon begins to reform in 3 rounds. A divine binding enacted during that time seals him beneath the battlefield and ends the encounter.
