Stingray
About
A stingray settles beneath a skin of sand in warm shallows, leaving only eyes and the outline of its breathing holes. It flees when given room, but a foot, hand or net pinning the body brings the tail over in a single defensive stroke. The barb may remain in the wound, carrying venom and making movement steadily worse.

Traits
Special Attack
Barbed Tail: piercing, melee 5 ft, +3 to hit, 1d4+1. The target makes a Tough save; on a failed save, it takes 1d6 poison damage and its movement is reduced by half until the barb is removed and the wound bound.
Special Defense
Buried Outline: a stingray beneath sand is noticed before contact only with a successful Chance Roll. Shuffling feet or probing ahead with a pole reveals it and allows it to swim away without attacking.
