About
One eye, bat wings, and a grievance about being disbelieved. It comes at night to households that have said out loud that it is not real, and it is emphatic on the point, and it insists afterward that the victim tell everyone what happened. Households that speak of it openly and take the precautions are passed over entirely. It is the doubt it goes for. The rest is just the method.

Special Attack
Presses Down: bludgeoning, melee 5 ft, +4 to hit, 2d6+3, on a sleeping or paralysed creature, and it does not attack the awake if a sleeper is available. Insist: 20 ft, save Wis Mind, fail save roll 2d6+3 psychic and the target must speak of what happened at the next opportunity or take the damage again, cooldown 2 rounds.
Special Defense
Goes for the Doubters: it attacks a creature that has denied its existence in preference to any other target, always, regardless of tactical sense. Believed and Prepared: any household that has spoken of it openly and set out the customary precautions - a lamp left burning, the night spent outdoors together - is not entered. It goes to the next village, which has been laughing at this one.
