Penanggalan
About
A head with the stomach and lungs still attached, drifting over the rooftops at the height of the eaves, going toward the house where somebody has just given birth. In the daytime she is a woman with a reputation for keeping to herself and a large vat of vinegar in the back room, which is where she soaks the organs to shrink them small enough to go back in. Everyone in the village knows about the vinegar and nobody has ever said so out loud.

Thorns and Glass: any thorny branch, bramble or broken glass set about doors and windows snags the trailing organs. She cannot enter a house so prepared, and creatures inside are simply not reachable. The Vat: her vinegar vat is findable in daylight.
