Pazuzu is a wind fiend with a humanlike body, leonine or canine face, wings, talons, and a scorpion-like tail. He brings destructive winds and disease, yet traditions also invoke his image against other dangers, making protection and corruption difficult to separate. He rules an infernal current between suffering realms and answers desperate invitations faster than formal summons.
