Makara
About
A Makara is an aquatic composite being combining crocodile, elephant, fish, serpent, and other powerful forms. It serves as a mount, threshold emblem, and guardian of waters where divine and mortal journeys meet. The creature moves through river, sea, and symbolic boundary with equal ease. It attacks those who pollute passage or claim sacred water as private property.

Special Attack
River-Gate Surge: creatures in a 60 ft cone make a Quick save. A failure deals 4d10 bludgeoning damage and carries the creature 30 ft. A successful save avoids the damage and movement. Threshold Maw: one creature moved by River-Gate Surge makes a Mind save. On a failure it vanishes beneath the water and returns at the beginning of the next round beside a different waterway within 120 ft. A successful save leaves the creature in its current location.
Special Defense
Vehicle of Passage: a recognized divine traveler may command the Makara to cease for 1 round. Restoring public access to blocked water removes its DR.
