Lemure
About
The dead who were not buried properly, coming back at the same time each year to the houses they used to live in. They are not clever and they are not really persons any more. There is an old household rite for it: the head of the house walks the rooms barefoot at midnight, throws black beans over his shoulder without looking, and says nine times that with these he redeems himself and his. The lemures gather the beans. Then they go.

Special Attack
Cold Hands: bludgeoning, melee 5 ft, +2 to hit, 1d6+1. Crowd the Room: they arrive in numbers and press. No attack roll and no save - any creature adjacent to two or more lemures takes 1d4 at the end of its turn from sheer massed cold.
Special Defense
Beans Thrown Behind: any creature that scatters beans, grain or small coins away from itself without looking at them draws every lemure in the room to gather them, costing all of them their next turn. This works every time it is done and never stops working. Not Buried: reduced to 0 HP a lemure falls apart and is gone for the night, but it is not destroyed - it returns on the same night next year, and will keep returning until the body it came from is given proper burial.
