A Bichura is a sharp-tongued household spirit that hides beneath the stove, inside wall cavities, or behind stored grain. It appears as a small woman with tangled hair and soot-dark clothing. A respected Bichura warns of fire and thieves; an insulted one tangles thread, spoils meals, and turns every domestic disagreement into evidence that the household is failing.
