Effect
Each charge is spent on the wearer's own turn to name one kind of harm they have already survived once - a blade, a fall, a fire, a particular creature's bite. Until the end of the wearer's next turn, damage of that named kind is negated entirely, automatically, with no roll and no choice to make. The seams over the knuckles go white and stiff when depleted, and the wearer's hands still knit any break or burn in a single night's sleep.
About
These heavy gloves are pieced together from old bandage linen boiled stiff and sewn in overlapping layers. Raised seams cross the knuckles like healed scars, and when the wearer survives a terrible wound the fabric tightens around the hands as though binding an injury that is no longer there.
