Armor
Bonus: +3 DR
The first attack in any fight that would hit the wearer deals no damage at all, the silver signature across the breastplate flaring white as the blow is pardoned, and that attacker cannot attack the wearer again for one round. Permanent. A breastplate of grey steel with a long signature struck across it in silver, running corner to corner.
Armor
Bonus: DR 1 and fire resistance
Each charge lets the wearer dissolve into a cloud of ash and reform up to 20 feet away (cannot be used while restrained). The cloth hardens when depleted. 1d4 charges Padded armor woven from fire-resistant grey cloth that constantly sheds a faint wisp of ash.
Armor
Bonus: +1 DR
+1 DR. Permanent. Treated hide armor from a dire beast. Retains natural toughness.
Armor
Bonus: +3 DR
Each charge sets the surcoat blazing with a coat of arms: every enemy within 30 feet must make a Mind save or attack the wearer and nobody else for one round. When depleted the field settles into one coat of arms no herald has recorded, and the wearer's allies can pick them out of any crowd or melee at a glance. 1d3 charges Mail shirt under a hardened surcoat, the field of it bare and the paint on it still wet to the touch.
Armor
Bonus: DR 5 and +2 Quick saves
Each charge absorbs one critical hit and reduces it to normal damage. When depleted, the bone plates crack and the armor drops to DR 3. 1d3 charges A brigandine reinforced with plates carved from dragon bone, lightweight but incredibly hard.
Armor
Bonus: +3 DR and +2 Tough saves
While the wearer stands their ground and does not move on their turn, any ally directly behind them counts as being behind a wall for cover, and any ally who braces a bow, a sling, or a casting hand on the flange gets a dead steady rest that wind, footing, or fire cannot spoil. Permanent. Overlapping plates with a broad shelf-like flange along the top edge, built to be leaned on rather than looked at.
Armor
Bonus: +4 DR
Its DR applies only while the wearer is underground or beneath a roof of stone or earth, and nothing else worn adds to their protection while the plate is buckled. In such places the wearer takes no damage from collapses, cave-ins, or falling stone and can breathe for an hour inside earth, rubble, or smoke. Setting a hand flat to any ceiling, wall, or floor and leaning into it for a full round brings down a 30-foot span. Permanent. Heavy plate with a low wide collar and a lamp bracket bolted at the shoulder, the whole of it scoured grey with wet chalk.
Armor
Bonus: DR 3 and fire immunity for 1d3 rounds per combat
Each charge lets the wearer breathe a 30-foot cone of dragon fire dealing 4d6 damage (Quick save halves). The armor grows brighter when using this ability. The dragonhide cools when depleted. 1d2 charges Armor crafted from the hide of an ancient red dragon, still warm to the touch.
Armor
Bonus: +1 DR
+1 DR. Permanent. Scale mail crafted to mimic dragon scales. Overlapping plates shimmer.
