Effect
You unleash a burst of necrotic energy that causes organic matter to decay and rot at an accelerated rate. Each creature in the area takes 4d8 necrotic damage, and plant life in the area withers and dies. The affected area becomes barren and lifeless.
Scaling
At 6th level, the damage increases to 5d8 necrotic damage.
At 9th level, the damage increases to 6d8 necrotic damage, and the effect can spread to adjacent areas.
Special Notes
The spell can permanently damage the environment and create areas of blight.
