A Yowie is a large, hair-covered wilderness being reported in remote Australian forests and ranges. Tracks, broken branches, thrown stones, and a powerful cry usually precede a clear sighting. It tests boundaries, recognizes intent, and avoids settlements until someone follows it toward its young or a protected water source.
Special Attack
Warning Stone: bludgeoning, 40 ft, +6 to hit, 2d8+4. A creature struck makes a Mind save or cannot willingly move closer to the Yowie for 1 round.
Special Defense
Respect the Warning: stopping pursuit after the first thrown stone ends the encounter. Fire spread into the forest causes the Yowie to ignore retreat and gain +2 to attacks.
