Vodyanoy

A vodyanoy keeps a millpond, river bend or drowned foundation as personal property. It knows every fish, every lost tool and every promise made at the water's edge, and charges heavily for all three.

Drowning Grip: bludgeoning, melee 5 ft, +4 to hit, 2d8+3, and the target is held. At the beginning of the vodyanoy's next turn, a held target is pulled underwater and begins suffocating. Millpond Surge: creatures in a 20 ft cone make a Quick save or take 2d8 damage and fall prone.

Keeper of Agreements: a bargain spoken over its water cannot be broken by the vodyanoy. Opening the mill sluice or draining its pool removes DR, prevents Millpond Surge and forces it to move toward the remaining water.
