    The snallygaster is a winged, tentacled predator of forested hills and lonely farms. Its whistle carries ahead of it, and livestock vanish through roof gaps too small for the thing witnesses describe.

    Special Attack

    Blood-Draining Beak: piercing, melee 10 ft, +4 to hit, 2d10+3. If the target is restrained, the attack deals an additional 1d8 damage. Tentacle Snare: 15 ft, +4 to hit, restrains one target instead of dealing damage.

    Special Defense

    Seven-Pointed Mark: a properly drawn seven-pointed star on a door, roof or shield repels the snallygaster. It must make a Mind save to approach within 10 ft and loses its turn on a failed save.
