Boots, bedding, loose bark and stones holding the day's warmth are natural shelter for a scorpion. It does not chase, but anything that presses a hand or foot into its hiding place receives a fast defensive sting. In dry ruins the smallest cracks may hold several, making careless searches more dangerous than crossing the room.
Special Attack
Venomous Sting: piercing, melee 5 ft, +2 to hit, 1 damage. The target makes a Tough save; on a failed save, it takes 2d6 poison damage and suffers -1 Tough for 1 hour.
Special Defense
Hidden Underhand: before lifting stone, wood or abandoned gear, a careful search and successful Chance Roll reveals the scorpion. Thick gloves or boots give +2 Tough against Venomous Sting. Once exposed, it retreats toward the nearest crack.
