Hare's ears, a badger's body, the forelegs of something clawed and the hind legs of a bear, and it eats human corpses. What people remember is not the shape. It is that the rompo hums while it feeds, low and steady and almost tuneful, and it does not stop humming when you arrive, and it does not stop humming while it decides about you.
Special Attack
Rend: slashing, melee 5 ft, +3 to hit, 2d6+2. The Humming: it hums continually. Any creature that can hear it and stays within 60 ft for three consecutive rounds must save Wis Mind or become Weary. Blocking the ears prevents this entirely.
Special Defense
Feeding: while it has a corpse to work on it will not pursue anyone who withdraws, and a party that leaves the dead behind is not followed. Anyone who tries to take the body away from it is followed for as long as they carry it. Knows the Ground: it feeds in burial grounds, battlefields and plague pits and moves through them without hindrance.
