A creature of impossible parts - a serpent's head, a leopard's body, a lion's haunches, the feet of a deer - forever fleeing across the land with the belling of thirty hounds echoing from its belly. The Questing Beast is never quite caught, leading every hunter who spies it on a chase that ends only in exhaustion. Its curse is to be pursued, and to wear out all who pursue.
Special Attack
Serpent Bite: piercing, melee 5 ft, +4 to hit, 2d6+5 piercing. Raking Claws: slashing, melee 5 ft, 2d6+5 slashing. Belling Cry: the baying of thirty hounds erupts from its belly; each creature within 30 ft must save Wis Mind or be disoriented (-2 to its next attack), cooldown 3 rounds.
Special Defense
Ever-Fleeing: takes a bonus move each round and cannot be cornered by ordinary speed. Elusive Quarry: ranged attacks against it take -2 to hit as it bounds and weaves. Senses: Thermal Vision (60 ft), Keen Smell.
