- Divination touching the sanctuary reaches Python first; it may replace one answer with an older, literally true answer.

Python is the immense serpent of Delphi, guardian of an ancient prophetic place before a new divine order claimed it. Its coils hold the memory of the earth's first answers, and its breath carries the rot of deep caverns. Calling Python merely a beast erases the conflict over who owns prophecy, whose oracle speaks, and what happens when one sacred authority kills another.
Special Attack
Oracle-Coil: one creature within 30 ft makes a Mind save. On a failure, Python speaks its next intended action aloud and the creature must either perform it or take 4d8 psychic damage.
Special Defense
Older Answer: asking a question about the site before attacking forces Python to answer truthfully and prevents Oracle-Coil for 1 round. Radiant damage ignores 2 DR.
