    A Nue is a night creature assembled from monkey, tiger, serpent, and tanuki-like features, wrapped in a black cloud. Its cry spreads illness and sleepless dread before anyone sees the body. The Nue attacks from above rooflines and treetops, using uncertainty as carefully as claw and fang. Dispersing the cloud forces all its incompatible parts into one visible target.

    Special Attack

    Black-Cloud Cry: creatures within 40 ft make a Tough save or take 2d8 psychic damage and become weary.

    Special Defense

    Arrow Through the Cloud: wind or an attack that passes completely through its cloud reveals the body and removes 2 AC. While revealed, it cannot use Black-Cloud Cry.
