    A Monaciello appears as a tiny hooded monk in old houses, tunnels, and underground chambers. It points toward hidden treasure with one hand and pulls sleepers' blankets away with the other, testing greed as much as courage. Those who follow silently may become wealthy; those who grab at its hood are led into walls, wells, or rooms that cease to exist by morning.

    Special Attack

    Hidden Stair: one creature within 30 ft makes a Mind save or perceives a false passage and moves up to 15 ft toward it. Dangerous ground allows an immediate second save.

    Special Defense

    Do Not Touch the Hood: a creature that keeps both hands visible and follows in silence gains +2 Mind against Hidden Stair. Giving away treasure found through the spirit ends its hostility.
