    A Moʻo is a powerful Hawaiian reptilian guardian associated with freshwater pools, fishponds, caves, and family lands. It may appear as a giant lizard, dragon, beautiful woman, or black stone beneath the water. A Moʻo protects resources and boundaries through obligations remembered across generations; disrespect toward the water or the people responsible for it brings a response that feels both natural and personal.

    Special Attack

    Pool's Grasp: one creature within 40 ft makes a Quick save or is pulled 20 ft toward the water and held by weeds until it spends a round escaping.

    Special Defense

    Permission of the Place: a person recognized by the local caretakers gains +2 on every save against the Moʻo. Restoring fouled water or honoring the boundary ends Pool's Grasp.
