    A Mikoshi-nyudo first appears as a traveling monk glimpsed over a wall or at the end of a road. The longer someone looks upward, the taller its neck and body become, until the observer falls backward beneath something that seems to reach the clouds. Courage cannot solve the trick; the answer is refusing the direction of its demand. Looking down and naming it collapses the impossible height.

    Special Attack

    Higher Than the Eye: one creature within 40 ft makes a Mind save. On a failure, it falls down, takes 2d6 psychic damage, and cannot look away for 1 round.

    Special Defense

    Look Down, Mikoshi-nyudo: a creature that speaks its name while looking at the ground ends Higher Than the Eye for everyone and reduces the spirit to Medium size for 2 rounds.
