A Lamassu is a monumental guardian with a human head, bull or lion body, and great wings. It stands at city gates, palaces, and sacred thresholds as protective intelligence made visible. A Lamassu remembers laws older than the current ruler and distinguishes rightful passage from official permission. Corrupt authorities may therefore fear it as much as invaders do.
Special Attack
Gate's Rebuke: radiant and bludgeoning, 40 ft, +9 to hit, 4d10+6. A creature crossing under false authority also makes a Mind save or falls down. A successful save prevents the fall but does not undo the attack damage. Foundation Verdict: a creature standing within the guarded structure under false authority makes a Mind save. A failure deals 3d10 radiant damage; a successful save avoids it. Truthful entrants make no save and learn the shortest safe route out.
Special Defense
Foundation Inscription: reading or restoring the original dedication gives +2 Mind against the Lamassu and reveals whom it truly protects. It cannot pursue beyond the structure's outer boundary.
