Kallikantzaros

A kallikantzaros spends most of the year beneath the earth sawing at the tree that supports the world. During the twelve midwinter days it climbs into houses through chimneys, fouls food, overturns furniture and attacks anyone still working after dark. When the season ends it returns below and finds the world-tree healed, which begins the labor again. The creature is destructive, impatient and easily trapped by anything it cannot count correctly.

Chimney Claws: slashing, melee 5 ft, +3 to hit, 1d8+2. Midwinter Havoc: creatures within 15 ft make a Quick save; those that fail take 1d6 bludgeoning damage and fall down among overturned furniture and scattered tools.

Cannot Finish Counting: a sieve, colander or pile of loose grain placed in its path forces a Mind save. On a failed save it spends its next turn counting and begins again whenever it reaches three. Sunlight deals 1d8 damage each round and drives it toward the nearest underground opening.
