    A Hone-onna appears as the living woman she once was, visiting someone she loved while concealing a body made only of bones. Affection allows the meetings to continue, but each visit drains vitality from the person who refuses to recognize the truth. Lantern light or a witness without emotional attachment may reveal the skeleton beneath the remembered face.

    Special Attack

    Embrace Remembered: necrotic, melee 5 ft, +5 to hit, 2d8+3. A creature that willingly approached also becomes weary and cannot perceive the Hone-onna as undead for 1 round.

    Special Defense

    Lantern Through Bone: bright light held behind her reveals the skeleton and ends the false appearance. A loved one who acknowledges her death without rejecting her allows a Charisma Chance Roll to end the haunting.
