Domovoi

He lives behind the stove and he has opinions about how the place is kept. In a well-run house you will only ever know him by small kindnesses - the fire that stays in overnight, the tool found where you were sure you had not left it, the warning knock before bad news. In a badly kept one he pinches, sours the milk, tangles the horses' manes and rides them to a lather by morning. He is not evil. He is a member of the household holding it to a standard, and he was probably here before the walls were.

Household Reprisal: 20 ft, save Con Tough, fail save roll 1d6+2 bludgeoning as the room turns against a creature - the beam, the kettle, the stair. Cooldown 2 rounds. Pinch and Torment: bludgeoning, melee 5 ft, +2 to hit, 1d8+2.

Of the Hearth: within its house it cannot be surprised, cornered or locked out, and it takes half damage from anything while the stove is lit. Bread and Salt: a creature that sets bread, salt or milk on the hearth and sweeps the floor ends the encounter. The domovoi accepts and the household is better for it. It Warns First: it has knocked three times before any violence it has ever done. If the party did not listen, that is a matter of record.
