Ciguapa

A Ciguapa is a nocturnal wilderness being with long dark hair and feet turned backward, making every trail appear to lead the opposite direction. She communicates through whistles and avoids settlements except when curiosity draws her toward isolated travelers. Stories disagree whether she is alluring or animal-like, but all agree on fierce independence and hostility to pursuit, capture, or ownership.

Reversed Trail: creatures tracking the Ciguapa make a Mind save. On a failure, they arrive at a hazardous or exposed position chosen by the DN before realizing the trail reversed.

Follow What Is Missing: traveling by fixed landmarks rather than footprints prevents Reversed Trail. The Ciguapa will trade information for metal tools left without traps or strings.
