    A bugbear is a broad, heavy humanoid that understands patience better than bravery. It hides near doors, narrow trails and weak torchlight, then strikes the last traveler in line.

    Special Defense

    Cowardly Patience: the bugbear has +2 Quick while hidden or behind cover. If exposed in bright light and faced by equal numbers, it must make a Mind save at the end of each round or retreat toward the nearest concealment.
