An Aswang lives among ordinary people by day and hunts beyond the last lamp after dark. Traditions disagree on its shape because the name gathers several horrors: a corpse-eater, a long-tongued predator, a winged torso, or a neighbor who becomes something else at night. By day the shapeshifter studies household habits, and those human observations guide the hunt as surely as its claws.
Special Attack
Threading Tongue: piercing, 30 ft, +5 to hit, 3d8+4. A sleeping or held target takes an additional 2d6 damage.
Special Defense
Daylight Familiarity: in full daylight it cannot change shape and has DR 0. Garlic, salt, or ash placed across a window reveals whether it crossed that opening during the night.
