Aillen

Aillen is a musician of the otherworld whose beautiful pipes put an entire settlement to sleep before his breath kindles the roofs. He arrives on the same festival night each year, confident that ritual and memory have become helpless routine. Wax in the ears can stop the melody, but someone must remain awake long enough to face the fire and the insult behind it.

Sleep-Pipe: creatures within 60 ft make a Mind save or fall asleep for 1d4 rounds. Shaking or taking damage wakes a sleeping creature. Fire Breath: creatures in a 20 ft cone make a Quick save or take 3d8 fire damage, half on success.

Prepared Listener: blocking the ears before the music begins grants +2 Mind against Sleep-Pipe. Aillen cannot use Fire Breath while anyone remains awake and plays the melody back correctly.
