Abhartach

Abhartach is an Irish tyrant who refuses burial, rising again from the grave each time violence appears to settle the matter. Small in stature and terrible in persistence, he demands blood from those he once ruled and uses the certainty of his return as a weapon. The grave, the manner of burial, and the material driven through the body matter more than another victory in open combat.

Blood Tribute: necrotic, 30 ft, one creature makes a Tough save. A failure deals 4d8 damage, and Abhartach recovers the same amount.

Buried Contrary: reduced to 0 HP, Abhartach reforms at his grave the next sunset. Burying him upside down beneath heavy stone and pinning the body with yew prevents the return.
