    Effect

    Coats up to 1,000 feet of rope, wire, chain, or gut cord. For four hours, speech at either end is heard clearly at the other and at no point between, and while a steady note is held on the line it cannot be cut, burned, or unfastened by anything under 3,000 pounds of force.
