    Effect

    Only wizards and clerics may command it. +3 Tough saves. While the rod is carried point down and touching the ground, it names aloud everything buried within 30 feet, what it is and how deep it lies, including the dead and whatever was put in the ground with them. Lifted clear of the ground it says nothing, though it still rings when carried over a hollow space.
