Scroll of Battle Pulse

This narrow scroll is bound with a red cord stiffened by old wax, and its ink has the dark sheen of dried blood. When drawn steel is brought near, the lettering begins to brighten and dim in a steady rhythm, as though the parchment has found a pulse of its own.

When read, one creature within touch gains 6 temporary HP and +1 to hit for 10 minutes. Damage is taken from these temporary HP first. Any remaining temporary HP vanish when the effect ends.
